Books and movies can alway be ordered on-line , but I personally always try to buy my books at local bookstores (which these days includes Barnes and Noble).

Elegy for Iris, a memoir about the philosopher/novelist Iris Murdoch’s life with Alzheimer’s by her husband John Bayley–turned into the film Iris starring Judy Dench.

“The Bear Came Over the Mountain,” a short story by Alice Munroe in her collection Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage, turned into the truly wonderful film Away from Her starring Julie Christie
